Origin and world of the character
Billie Joe Armstrong is the leader, lead singer and guitarist of the American punk rock band Green Day, formed in 1987 in California. This figurine is a direct tribute to the legendary album Dookie, released in 1994, which catapulted the band to international stardom and popularised punk-pop. The figurine's design was inspired by the video clip for the cult song "Basket Case", an iconic track that ironically deals with the artist's anxiety attacks.
