A historic Mobile Suit piloted by Amuro Ray during the One Year War, the famous RX-78-2 has been given a unique aesthetic reinterpretation under the artistic direction of legendary mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. The “Ver.Ka” collection is instantly recognisable by its sleeker proportions, more pronounced geometric panel lines and a focus on military detail that creates the illusion of a real combat robot straight out of an armoury.

This high-end model showcases Bandai Hobby’s structural ingenuity. Hidden beneath its armour are numerous detailed mechanical parts, particularly in the shoulder and leg joints, ensuring stable and fluid poses. The model is fully pre-coloured, with the injection-moulded plastic parts clearly separated into the official colours (pure white, royal blue, bright red and yellow). The kit includes a separate, fully transformable miniature Core Fighter pilot module, equipped with its own folding wings so it can be stowed inside the robot’s torso. To top off the display, a huge, exclusive sheet of decals and tactical marking stickers (E.F.S.F. markings, White Base logos, identification numbers) is included to perfect the realistic look. The arsenal provided is classic: the laser rifle (Beam Rifle), the red and white heavy shield with a grip, two lightsabres mounted on the back, and the imposing heavy bazooka (Hyper Bazooka).

No messy glue is required; all the high-precision components snap together seamlessly with a simple mechanical press, thanks to Bandai’s Snap-fit technology.
