Origin and world of the character
The Monster Book of Monsters is a particularly aggressive textbook from the Harry Potter literary and cinematic saga, created by J.K. Rowling. Linked to a ferocious animal consciousness, the book has a row of teeth, four eyes and tentacles, and has a tendency to bite or attack anyone who tries to open it carelessly. It was made compulsory for third-year students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by Rubeus Hagrid, who had just been appointed Professor of Care of Magical Creatures. To open it and read its pages safely without being physically assaulted, it is necessary to gently stroke its back along its edge, which immediately soothes it.
