Lucius Malfoy is one of Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters, born into a wealthy, aristocratic Pure-blood family that despises Muggles and Muggle-borns. Husband to Narcissa and father to Draco, he was also the master of the house-elf Dobby before inadvertently setting him free. After leading the forces of dark wizards during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, he was defeated by Remus Lupin and imprisoned in Azkaban. Freed a year later by his master, his family fell into deep disgrace. During the final Battle of Hogwarts, he chose not to fight, devoting himself solely to the search for his son. Taking advantage of the Dark Lord’s defeat to repent, he avoided prison, resumed a normal life and became a grandfather a few years later.
