Hello Kitty is one of Sanrio’s most iconic characters. Created in Japan in 1974, she first appeared on small accessories before gradually becoming a true international icon of kawaii culture.

Recognisable by the bow on her left ear and her minimalist face, Hello Kitty is officially known as Kitty White. Her world emphasises friendship, kindness and the little pleasures of everyday life, which has enabled her to adapt to a wide variety of styles and themes over the decades.
