Little Twin Stars is a pair of anthropomorphic fictional characters created in 1975 by the Japanese company Sanrio, and based on the same style catalogue as Hello Kitty. The duo consists of a twin brother and sister named Kiki and Lala, born on the planet Omoide (Planet of Compassion). In their fantasy world, Lala is characterised by her pink hair and possesses a magic wand that enables her to make stars appear, while her brother Kiki has blue hair and travels with a large star attached to his back. Sent on a journey to Earth by their parents to learn how to become autonomous stars, they evolve in a pastoral visual environment made up of pastel clouds, celestial bodies and sweets. The Pop! Deluxe format brings the two twins together in a single thematic base based on this poetic universe.
