History and background of the model

Kuromi is an anthropomorphic fictional character created in 2005 by the Japanese company Sanrio, making her first appearance in the Onegai animation series My Melody. A rival and friend of My Melody, she immediately stands out in the Hello Kitty universe for her punk and gothic-inspired aesthetic, characterised by a black jester's hat adorned with a pink skull and crossbones. Despite her mischievous rebel look, she has become one of the most popular characters in Japanese pop culture (Kawaii).

Developed by Funko as part of its thematic series, this "Jumbo" edition is generously sized to show off the details of her balloons and silhouette in the form of the famous stylised vinyl figurines.
