Captain Spaulding is one of the most iconic characters from *House of 1000 Corpses*, a horror film written and directed by Rob Zombie and released in 2003. He runs a petrol station that doubles as the Museum of Monsters and Madmen, a macabre attraction that serves as the first gateway into the world of the Firefly family.

Beneath his appearance as a vulgar and eccentric clown lies a deeply unsettling character, directly linked to the events that lead the protagonists to the Firefly house. His black humour, unpredictable behaviour and instantly recognisable appearance have made him one of the cult figures of modern horror cinema.
