Character background and lore
Created by the famous mangaka Rumiko Takahashi, Sesshomaru is a powerful Daiyokai (a pure and superior demon), son of the prestigious General Chien. Unlike his half-brother Inuyasha, who is a hybrid, Sesshomaru initially harbours a deep contempt for humans and for weakness. Armed with his destructive sword Tenseiga (capable of bringing the dead back to life) and later with Bakusaiga, he travels across Sengoku-era Japan in search of absolute power and the sword inherited from their father, the Tessaiga.Although he initially comes across as a cold and ruthless antagonist, his character undergoes one of the most remarkable transformations in the series. His encounter with the young orphaned human girl Rin gradually awakens his compassion, revealing an unsuspected nobility of spirit and protective instinct. This figurine captures all the stoic majesty and mystical aura of this timeless demon lord from the shonen universe. - *
