Origin and lore

Released in 1993, Jurassic Park is a film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the universe created by Michael Crichton. The story follows a group of visitors to a remote island home to a revolutionary park where genetically recreated dinosaurs have been brought back to life. When the security systems are compromised, the experience intended to amaze visitors quickly turns into a struggle for survival against prehistoric predators.

Among the film’s most iconic creatures are the Tyrannosaurus rex and the Velociraptors, whose appearances play a major part in building the tension and defining the franchise’s identity.
