Origin and character background

Directly inspired by the first instalment of the Jurassic World trilogy (2015), this miniature set captures the famous Raptor Recon action scene. Led by ethologist and trainer Owen Grady, the pack of Velociraptors — comprising Charlie, Delta, Echo and their elder Blue — is released in the dead of night to track the scent of the terrifying genetically modified hybrid dinosaur,the Indominus Rex. This is the crucial moment when we witness Blue’s intelligence and agility, as she acts as the undisputed leader of the attack pack.

The diorama faithfully captures this tension by depicting the creature’s dynamic posture as it sprints stealthily. The sculpture highlights her famous bright blue stripe with metallic sheen, which runs along her flanks from her eye socket to the tip of her tail, a result of the African lizard DNA used in her laboratory design. The textured base recreates the floor of Isla Nublar’s tropical jungle at nightfall, whilst the premium cardboard backdrop enhances the depth of the scene.
