Origin and lore of the dinosaur

The Spinosaurus is one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs featured in the Jurassic Park franchise. It is distinguished by its long, narrow snout, powerful forelimbs equipped with large claws, and the impressive sail-like structure that rises along its back.

Unlike many other large theropods, the Spinosaurus is closely associated with aquatic environments. Its morphology enables it to move through water and hunt prey living in rivers or near marshy areas, a fact directly reflected in the pose of this figurine.

The dinosaur first took centre stage in the film series in *Jurassic Park III*. There, it appears as the main predator on the island of Sorna and, notably, faces off against a Tyrannosaurus rex, quickly becoming one of the franchise’s most recognisable creatures.
