Meet Mio Akiyama, the reserved bassist of the band Ho-kago Tea Time, in a dark and elegant interpretation from FuRyu’s BiCute Dark collection.

Character background and universe

Mio Akiyama is one of the founding members of the Sakuragaoka High School Light Music Club in K-ON!. She plays the bass in the band Ho-kago Tea Time, alongside Yui Hirasawa, Ritsu Tainaka, Tsumugi Kotobuki and Azusa Nakano.

Serious, studious and particularly dedicated to her music, Mio regularly tries to keep her friends focused during rehearsals. However, she is very shy by nature and gets easily embarrassed, particularly when she becomes the centre of attention.

She also writes a large proportion of the band’s lyrics and sometimes takes the lead vocals. Despite her lack of self-confidence, her musical talent, her sense of responsibility and her close bond with Ritsu make her an essential member of Ho-kago Tea Time.

The BiCute Dark range reimagines popular characters in dark outfits inspired by fantastical creatures. This version thus combines Mio’s gentleness with the appearance of a little gothic demon, whilst retaining her characteristic hairstyle and expression.
