Character background and universe (Lore)

Baki Hanma is the protagonist of the series created by Keisuke Itagaki. The son of Yujiro Hanma, considered the strongest being in the world, he devotes his life to training with the aim of surpassing his father. Despite his young age and relatively modest build compared to some of his opponents, Baki possesses strength, speed and reflexes far superior to those of an ordinary fighter.

His journey leads him to face specialists from a wide range of disciplines: karate, boxing, wrestling, kung fu, military techniques and underground martial arts. In particular, he becomes the champion of Tokyo’s underground arena, a place where fighters battle without rules to determine who is truly the most powerful.

In *Baki-Dou*, the fighters must face new threats whose power challenges the limits of the human body and modern martial arts. Baki then continues his personal quest, torn between his desire to improve, his fighting instinct and the inevitable confrontation with the overwhelming legacy of the Hanma family.
