Origin and character lore

K-Pop Demon Hunters follows Rumi, Mira and Zoey, the three members of the girl group HUNTR/X. In the public eye, they are international stars capable of filling stadiums and topping the music charts. In secret, they use their powers and weapons to fight the demons that threaten their fans.

Rumi plays a central role within the trio and bears a heavy responsibility for protecting the human world. Mira is the group’s choreographer, lead dancer and visual frontwoman, whilst Zoey stands out in particular for her energy, songwriting and rap verses. Their different personalities complement one another both on stage and during battles.

The main threat they face comes in the form of the Saja Boys, a rival boy band whose members are actually demons in disguise. Their aim is to lure away HUNTR/X’s fans in order to weaken the magical barrier protecting humans.
