Origin and background of the character

Sally is a rag doll created by Dr Finkelstein and held captive in his laboratory. Resourceful and determined, she seeks to gain her independence and regularly uses her knowledge of plants to evade her creator’s watchful eye. Disney presents her as a heroine from Halloween Town who learns to follow her own dreams.

Endowed with intuition and premonitory visions, Sally quickly realises that Jack Skellington’s plan to take charge of Christmas risks ending in disaster. She tries to warn him and plays a vital role in repairing the consequences of this adventure.
