Six months after its release, the Wii console is still impossible to find in shops. This is an indication of the unprecedented success of Nintendo's new console, which will bring the brand back to the family audience it has always targeted. The reason? Its revolutionary motion-sensing controller, the Wiimote. Ten years after the Wii was showered with flashbulbs on that Californian spring morning, the console became the fifth medium to surpass the symbolic threshold of one hundred million units sold worldwide.
