The Wachowskis have enjoyed a long career as directors, producers and scriptwriters for film, television, comic books and video games. In almost twenty-five years, they have established themselves as key figures in pop culture and Hollywood cinema. However, because their feature-length films are sometimes too experimental or even avant-garde, they have not succeeded in uniting and winning unanimous support for their work since the first Matrix.

While they still refuse to explain the meaning of their films, the Wachowskis are less hesitant to set out their conception of cinema.
