Rediscover the poetic world of *The Little Prince* through Steven Choi ’s artistic interpretation with this second collection, *The Little Prince Zu&Pi – Wandering Song of the Stars*. Produced by Kaiyodo, this series transforms several iconic scenes from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s work into delicate collectable mini-figures with a dreamlike and contemporary style.

The display contains 8 blind boxes, each containing a randomly selected pre-painted figurine. Depending on the model, the pieces measure between 5 and 10 cm. They are made from PVC and ABS.

The collection comprises 8 regular models and 1 secret model, making a total of 9 variants. The contents of each package remain hidden until it is opened. The Japanese documentation states that the models are distributed at random and that it may be necessary to open several boxes to complete the entire series.

The visual identity of this collection is based on the work of Steven Choi, whose interpretation of *The Little Prince* combines the sensitivity of the original story with his own graphic style. Hiroshi Katayama is responsible for overseeing the sculptures and the design of the paintwork, whilst Kaiyodo handles the design and production of the figurines.

Origin and universe – The Little Prince x Zu&Pi

First published in 1943,Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s *The Little Prince* tells the story of an encounter between a pilot stranded in the desert and a mysterious young boy from an asteroid. Through his journey from planet to planet, the story simply explores universal themes such as friendship, loneliness, love and the way adults perceive the world.

However, this series does not seek to reproduce Saint-Exupéry’s original illustrations verbatim. It draws on the artistic vision of Steven Choi, who has developed his own interpretation of *The Little Prince* and reworked several key scenes from the story to adapt them to the figurine format. Kaiyodo places particular emphasis on the delicate, tender and colourful nature of this world.

The name Zu&Pi is associated with Steven Choi’s creative world and his various artistic collaborations. In this collection, his aesthetic meets the craftsmanship of Kaiyodo, a Japanese manufacturer renowned for its sculpted figurines and collectable miniatures.
