THE LORD OF THE RINGS - POP N° 122 - Sauron

This collectible vinyl figure of the fearsome Sauron has been released by Funko as part of its officially licensed Lord of the Rings Pop! collection. Made entirely from PVC, it is a stylised reproduction of the dark figure of the Dark Lord in full armour.

Sauron is the main antagonist and eponymous character in the Lord of the Rings fantasy trilogy, as well as a major figure in The Silmarillion, the masterly works created by British author J.R.R. Tolkien. Originally a Maia (a divine spirit), he allows himself to be corrupted by Melkor and becomes his most loyal lieutenant. After the fall of his master, he settled in Middle-earth, in the heart of Mordor, to extend his own domination. To enslave the free peoples, he secretly forges the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, infusing it with much of his own psychic and spiritual power. Deprived of his physical form after Isildur cut off the finger bearing the artefact, Sauron manifests during the Third Age as a blazing, eyelidless Eye, orchestrating his armies of orcs from the tower of Barad-dûr to recover his lost ring.
