Assassination Classroom or how to revolutionise the current education model

But who is this smiley-faced creature from outer space with long tentacles? If you're not familiar with Koro-Sensei, the strange-looking teacher with the unusual teaching method, it's time to immerse yourself in the rather wild world of the Assassination Classroom manga released in 2012. A colossal success with Japanese readers, the adaptation into a live-action series and animated film is just the next logical step. A sequel as brilliant as the graphic novel? Let's take a look at Kunugigaoka High School and Class 3-E, the setting for the story.
Created by cartoonist Yūsei Matsui in 2012, the 21-volume shonen manga Assassination Classroom tells the story of an unusual teacher who joins the 3-E class, a group of teenagers on the verge of dropping out of school at Kunugigaoka High School. Their mission? Pass their year, kill the eccentric teacher (at his request) and... prevent the destruction of the world. Mr Koro-Sensei, the source of the threat, is going to teach them how to kill while guiding them towards success. In the end, he's a very endearing teacher. And, although the scenario is incredibly zany, the mayonnaise takes hold. There are many lessons to be learned, some of which call into question the current education system, which is too hierarchical and compartmentalised.
