The birth of the Batman comic book

The adventures of Batman began with an illustrated publication dedicated to detective stories, in Detective Comics. These adventures featured secular characters from high society, embellished with chivalry idealised by the character of Bruce Wayne who perfectly embodies the values of the saviour when he changes at night into a hero called Batman, confronted by characters full of deformities from the lower reaches of society. These antagonists of our main character can take the form of grotesque clown figures like the Joker.
