Character background and universe (Lore)
In the Mass Effect universe, EDI (Enhanced Defence Intelligence) begins her adventure as the central computer system of the Normandy SR-2. Initially depicted as a simple blue holographic sphere, during the events of Mass Effect 3 she acquires a mechanical humanoid form by hacking into a synthetic body belonging to Cerberus. This radical transformation enables her to leave the cockpit alongside Joker to lend Commander Shepard direct support on the battlefield. Endowed with a growing sense of self-awareness and a subtle sense of irony, she provides indispensable technological support and significant electronic warfare capabilities in the face of the Reapers’ threat. This figurine celebrates her spectacular emancipation, beautifully illustrating her transition from a software-based artificial intelligence to a full member of the crew. - *
