SEXY COSPLAY DOLL – Marin Kitagawa – XStellar 20 cm figure
Meet Marin Kitagawa, the bubbly heroine of My Dress-Up Darling, with this figurine from SEGA’s XStellar range.
Measuring approximately 20 cm, this figurine depicts Marin in a summer outfit, offering a more relaxed take on the character. Her long blonde hair with pinkish highlights, her radiant expression and her confident demeanour make this cosplay enthusiast instantly recognisable.
This version of Marin emphasises a natural, summery aesthetic that contrasts with her many cosplay costumes. It therefore makes an excellent choice for collectors wishing to see the character in a more everyday light.
Measuring approximately 20 cm, this figurine will easily find its place in a display cabinet or on a shelf alongside Sajuna Inui and the other My Dress-Up Darling characters available in the XStellar range.

Character background and lore
Marin Kitagawa is the main heroine of My Dress-Up Darling. A first-year sixth-former, she is particularly popular in her class and also works as an amateur model. The anime’s official website describes her as a bright and outspoken young girl, passionate about anime, manga, video games and, above all, cosplay.
Despite this immense enthusiasm, Marin initially lacks the sewing skills required to make the complex costumes she wishes to wear.
Her meeting with Wakana Gojo completely changes the situation. Gojo is a reserved classmate who dreams of becoming a craftsman specialising in hina dolls and, thanks to this passion, possesses excellent sewing skills.
Marin then asks him to help her make a costume for Shizuku Kuroe, a character from one of her favourite games. The official website confirms that Gojo agrees to make this first costume after being impressed by Marin’s enthusiasm.
The creation of this cosplay marks the start of a collaboration that gradually brings the two teenagers closer together. Once her costume is finished, Marin takes part in her first proper cosplay event, where she also discovers the full social and creative dimension of this passion.
Marin stands out above all for her completely uninhibited way of embracing her tastes. Whereas Gojo has long hidden her passion for hina dolls for fear of what others might think, Marin, on the contrary, believes it is natural to throw oneself wholeheartedly into what one loves.
As the story unfolds, the two characters explore new worlds of cosplay, meet other enthusiasts such as Sajuna ‘Juju’ Inui, and gradually deepen their relationship. The official profile confirms, in particular, that Sajuna is herself a popular cosplayer, whilst her sister Shinju accompanies her as a photographer.
The relationship between Marin and Gojo gradually goes beyond their simple artistic collaboration. Their costume-making sessions, cosplay events and everyday moments become the emotional heart of the series.
This XStellar figurine highlights a simpler, more summery side to Marin: far from her elaborate costumes, she retains all the confidence, spontaneity and energy that characterise one of the most popular heroines in *My Dress-Up Darling*.
