Character background and lore

Sajuna Inui is a high school student and a particularly popular cosplayer from the My Dress-Up Darling universe. She goes by the pseudonym Juju, under which she has already built up a strong reputation amongst cosplay enthusiasts. The anime’s official website describes her as a second-year high school student and a popular cosplayer.

Despite her youthful appearance and petite stature, Sajuna therefore has more experience in cosplay than Marin Kitagawa when the two characters first meet.

In fact, Marin greatly admires Juju even before meeting her in person. Their meeting gradually allows the two cosplayers to move beyond a relationship based solely on admiration or rivalry and to share their passion directly.

Sajuna attaches great importance to staying true to the characters she portrays. For her, cosplay is much more than just dressing up: she strives to carefully recreate the appearance and atmosphere of the characters she loves.
