Origin and background of the character
Created by the famous Japanese company Sanrio in 1975, My Melody is a little white rabbit who is instantly recognisable by the sweet pink or red bonnet covering her ears. Born in the magnificent forest of Mary Land, she is known for her infinitely gentle nature, her kindness and her love of baking biscuits with her mum. A true icon of ‘kawaii’ culture and the ‘kawaii’ movement on an international scale, she shares a friendly and mischievous rivalry with Kuromi. This Funko Pop! edition memorably celebrates her 50 years of cultural legacy, establishing itself as an essential centrepiece for all fans of animation and the colourful world of Hello Kitty and her friends.
