Zero is the ghost dog of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. Despite his ghostly appearance, he behaves like a loyal and affectionate companion, always ready to follow his master on his adventures.

The character is distinguished by his glowing nose, shaped like a small orange pumpkin. When Jack attempts to take Santa’s place, Zero uses this light to guide his sleigh through the fog, in a direct reference to Rudolph’s role in traditional Christmas stories.

His presence adds a touch of tenderness to the film’s gothic world. The inscription ‘Loyal to the Grave’ on the plinth perfectly sums up his character: even beyond death, Zero remains entirely devoted to Jack and is one of his most steadfast companions.
