In theOne Piece universe, Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist and founder of the Straw Hat Pirates. After accidentally eating theGomu Gomu no Mi Devil Fruit, his body developed elastic properties. Inspired by the pirate Shanks the Red, who entrusted him with his hat, he set sail at the age of 17 from East Blue to assemble a crew and find Gol D. Roger’s treasure in order to become the Pirate King.The name of this collection,Romance Dawn, corresponds to the title of the very first chapter of the manga written by Eiichiro Oda, as well as to the initial pilot stories that served as the foundation for the work.
