Character background and lore

Portgas D. Ace, born Gol D. Ace, is the biological son of the legendary Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, and Portgas D. Rouge. Raised by the Dadan family alongside his adoptive brother Monkey D. Luffy, he set sail at the age of 17 to found the Spade Pirates before joining the fleet of Emperor Whitebeard, whom he came to regard as his true father.

Having eaten the Mera Mera no Mi (the Logia-type Devil Fruit of pyrogenesis), Ace possesses the absolute ability to manipulate, create and transform his own body into blazing fire. This figurine captures his original appearance as he appeared on the desert island of Alabasta: bare-chested, displaying his large Whitebeard tattoo on his back, his orange hat adorned with smiley faces (one happy, one sad) and his dagger at his belt.
