Character background and lore

Genos is a young cyborg who became a professional hero following the destruction of his city and the death of his family. Determined to find the person responsible for this tragedy, he has dedicated his life to fighting and constantly improving his mechanical body. His various pieces of equipment enable him, in particular, to achieve great speed, considerable strength and powerful energy attacks.

After witnessing Saitama’s incredible power, Genos decides to become his apprentice and moves in with him to understand the secret of his strength. Very serious, methodical and driven by a constant desire to improve, he contrasts sharply with his master’s laid-back attitude. He joins the Hero Association and reaches Class S, where he is officially ranked amongst the most powerful heroes.
