Character background and lore

Rimuru Tempest was originally a human named Satoru Mikami. After his death, he was reincarnated in a fantasy world as a slime and acquired several exceptional abilities, including the capacity to analyse and absorb the properties of whatever he devours.

His encounter with the dragon Veldra marks the beginning of his new existence. Rimuru gradually gathers goblins, ogres, lizardmen and many other creatures around him, before founding the Jura Tempest Federation. Despite his peaceful appearance, he possesses considerable power and seeks, above all, to create a nation where humans and monsters can live together.
