This character’s first appearance in the Ultimates range features his dark raincoat, face-concealing hood and famous hook, whilst offering a particularly comprehensive set of accessories inspired by the various films.

Fully articulated, the figure allows you to recreate numerous stalking or attacking poses. The Fisherman wears a carefully tailored fabric raincoat, complemented by a cape featuring an adjustable metal frame. This design allows the shape and movement of the garment to be altered, emphasising the character’s menacing appearance.

Character background and lore

The Fisherman is the iconic antagonist of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise. His silhouette, entirely concealed beneath a dark raincoat, his hood and his fishing hook make him an instantly recognisable figure amongst the masked killers of horror cinema.

In the original 1997 film, four young friends — Julie James, Ray Bronson, Helen Shivers and Barry Cox — accidentally run over a man on a coastal road after a night out. Convinced they have killed him and fearing the consequences of their actions, they decide to throw his body into the sea and swear never to reveal what happened.

A year later, Julie receives an anonymous message reading ‘I know what you did last summer’. The group then realises that someone knows their secret. Shortly afterwards, a figure dressed as a fisherman begins to watch them and attack them with a large hook.

The killer from the first film is Ben Willis, a fisherman from Southport. His personal history is linked to the events that took place before the accident and explains why he sets out to take revenge on the teenagers responsible for his fall into the sea.

The Fisherman’s costume is based on simple yet particularly effective elements: a long raincoat, a hood that almost entirely conceals the face, and a traditional fishing hook converted into a weapon. This appearance directly evokes the maritime setting of Southport and allows the killer to blend in with the harbour’s inhabitants.

The franchise subsequently develops the legend of the Fisherman across several films. His costume and hook gradually become symbols independent of the identity of the person wearing them, allowing the threat to reappear in various forms.
