Padme Amidala was once the democratically elected Queen of Naboo before representing the Chommell sector as a senator in the Galactic Senate. As Queen of Naboo, Padme helped liberate her people, becoming one of the most respected political figures in the Galaxy. She played a key role in the events surrounding the Clone Wars, where she and other senators helped found what later became the Rebel Alliance through the creation of the 2000 Delegation.
