Manufactured by Revell under official licence, this kit reproduces the famous delivery van in its yellow, red and blue livery, inspired by a 1980s Californian pizzeria. The ‘Surfer Boy Pizza’ lettering, the sign mounted on the roof and the numerous printed details make it instantly recognisable as the vehicle seen in the Netflix series.

Origin and background of the vehicle

The Surfer Boy Pizza Van appears in the fourth series of Stranger Things. It is driven by Argyle, a Californian pizza delivery driver and friend of Jonathan Byers.

Following the attack on the Byers’ house in Lenora Hills, Argyle uses the van to help Mike, Jonathan and Will make their escape. The group then embarks on a long journey across the United States to find Eleven and discover where she is being held.

The van accompanies them through the Nevada desert when they discover Project Nina. In the season’s final episode, it is also used as part of the plan to help Eleven confront Vecna from a distance.

With its bright colours, roof sign and quintessentially 1980s look, the Volkswagen T3 Surfer Boy Pizza adds a lighter, quirky touch to the season. This model allows you to recreate a detailed replica and display it alongside Hawkins’ other iconic vehicles.
