Character background and lore

Baby Peach represents Princess Peach during her childhood. She already possesses the main characteristics of her adult self, notably her pink dress, her crown, her blonde hair and her royal status within the Mushroom Kingdom.

The character appears notably in Yoshi’s Island DS, where Yoshi can carry several babies, each with a special ability. Baby Peach uses her parasol to ride the air currents and reach areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. She joins Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Donkey Kong and other young characters in their fight against Kamek’s plans.

Baby Peach has also become a recurring driver in the Mario Kart series. Her small size and light weight generally give her excellent acceleration and manoeuvrability, though at the cost of reduced durability in collisions. She is notably one of the playable characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
