SUPER MARIO - 2 Posters 52 x 38cm Set

Decorate a bedroom, study or play area with this set of two posters dedicated to the colourful world of Super Mario. Produced by Pyramid International under official Nintendo licence, the set features two complementary illustrations showcasing Mario and a wide selection of iconic characters from the Mushroom Kingdom.

The first poster is vertical in orientation and focuses on Mario. The famous plumber is depicted smiling, with his fist raised, against a red background decorated with motifs inspired by the games, including stars, coins, blocks and mushrooms. His name is written in large white letters at the bottom.

The second poster is horizontal in format and brings together numerous characters in a lush green setting reminiscent of the series’ classic levels. Mario and Luigi are surrounded by Peach, Daisy, Harmonie, Yoshi, Toad, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Boo, Lakitu, Goomba and several recognisable enemies and items. Peach’s Castle, ‘?’ blocks, a Bill Ball and various power-ups complete this particularly rich composition.

Each poster measures approximately 52 × 38 cm and is printed on 170 g paper with a glossy finish. Both posters are delivered rolled up in a single cardboard sleeve, making them easy to store and minimising creases before display. They can be hung directly on the wall or placed in suitable frames (not included).

Origin and character lore

Mario is the main hero of the franchise created by Nintendo. Recognisable by his red cap, blue overalls and moustache, he regularly travels across the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Princess Peach and thwart Bowser’s plans. He is often accompanied by his brother Luigi, who is taller and dressed in green.

The Mushroom Kingdom is home to a wide variety of allies and adversaries. Peach is its ruler, Toad is one of her most loyal subjects, and Yoshi accompanies Mario on many adventures. Daisy reigns over the kingdom of Sarasaland, whilst Harmonie looks after the Lumas and the Comet Observatory.

Bowser is Mario’s long-standing nemesis. Surrounded by Koopas, Goombas and other creatures, he regularly attempts to conquer the kingdom or kidnap Peach. Wario and Waluigi, meanwhile, play more ambiguous roles, often portrayed as rivals in sports, racing and party games.

The two illustrations in this set encapsulate these different facets of the series: the first poster celebrates Mario directly, whilst the second brings together the heroes, rivals, enemies and objects that make up the visual identity of the Super Mario universe.
