The wise Princess Zelda joins Hasbro’s Heroes of Hyrule collection with this articulated figurine inspired by the video game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Faithfully reproduced in her explorer’s outfit, she features detailed sculpting directly inspired by her in-game appearance.

Character background and lore

Princess Zelda is one of the central characters in The Legend of Zelda series. As heir to the kingdom of Hyrule, she is traditionally associated with wisdom, knowledge and a sacred power passed down through the royal family. Depending on the era, she either accompanies Link on his quest, guides him from afar or intervenes directly in the fight against the forces of evil.

This version is inspired by *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*. At the start of the story, Zelda accompanies Link beneath Hyrule Castle to investigate the source of a mysterious miasma. Their exploration leads them to the mummified body of Ganondorf, whose awakening causes immense upheaval throughout the kingdom.

During this event, the Master Sword is severely damaged and Zelda is hurled thousands of years into the past, to the time of Hyrule’s founding. There, she meets King Rauru and Queen Sonia, and gradually discovers the nature of her own power and the role she must play in paving the way for the Demon King’s defeat.

Unable to return to her own time immediately, Zelda works from the past to help Link in the future. In particular, she takes charge of the corroded Master Sword and makes a great sacrifice to restore the legendary blade’s power over the course of millennia.

This Heroes of Hyrule figurine thus depicts Zelda in her explorer’s outfit, holding the damaged Master Sword prior to the long process that will restore the sword’s power. It directly evokes her courage, her determination and her vital role in the events of Tears of the Kingdom.
