Character background and lore

Tagah is a character introduced in the animated film *Avatar: The Last Airbender*, which continues the story of the Avatar’s team several years after the defeat of Fire Lord Ozai. At this time, Aang and his friends are trying to maintain a still-fragile peace whilst helping to rebuild the culture of the Air Nomads.

Tagah is portrayed as a former airbender who survived from a bygone era. Like Aang before him, he is said to have been preserved in ice for a very long time, thus escaping the events that led to the near-total extinction of his people.

His discovery comes as a major shock to Aang, who until then had believed himself to be the last survivor of the Air Nomads. Tagah possesses ancient knowledge of their civilisation, as well as a power that could help bring about the rebirth of this culture.

Their meeting leads the Avatar’s team to embark on a new quest across the world. Aang must recover an ancient power linked to his people before it falls into the wrong hands and threatens the balance established after the Hundred Year War.
