Character background and lore
Created by Tom Ruegger and produced by Steven Spielberg in the 1990s, the cult animated series *Animaniacs* features the Warner brothers (Yakko and Wakko) and their sister (Dot). Conceived during the golden age of animation, these unruly and mischievous characters were locked away in the famous water tower at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank due to their infectious madness, before escaping to wreak havoc on film sets.Wakko is the youngest of the siblings. Inspired by Harpo Marx’s slapstick style and visual humour, he is characterised by an insatiable appetite (capable of swallowing completely indigestible objects) and a collection of unlikely props that he pulls out of his ‘bag of tricks’. Always full of absurd humour and zany sounds, he remains famous for his cult musical numbers, such as his rhythmic performance in which he recites the full list of state capitals of the United States of America. This figurine perfectly captures all the expressiveness and mischievous attitude of this great classic of American animation.
