The figurine depicts Hanayama in an imposing pose, his torso bare and his body covered in scars. His particularly well-developed musculature, massive neck and calm expression capture the intimidating appearance of the famous fighter. Wide bandages wrap around his abdomen, whilst a white loincloth completes his deliberately minimalist outfit.

Made from PVC, this figurine measures approximately 23 cm. The Luminasta range emphasises the character’s muscular bulk, numerous scars and impassive demeanour to create a piece designed for display.

Character background and universe

Kaoru Hanayama is the second-generation leader of the Hanayama clan and a fighter renowned for his exceptional physical strength. Dubbed one of Japan’s finest brawlers, he possesses superhuman grip strength and follows a philosophy based on unarmed combat, without evasion or complex martial arts techniques.

In Baki-Dou, fighters in the underground arena find themselves pitted against Miyamoto Musashi, the legendary swordsman brought back to life in the modern era. Hanayama takes part in this new quest for power and goes so far as to challenge Yujiro Hanma to break the monotony of his daily life.

This figurine highlights the contrast between his fighting style—traditionally based on his fists—and the presence of the katana, whilst retaining his stoic demeanour and instantly recognisable silhouette.
