- The Bandai Spirits - Parts Separator is an official model-making tool designed specifically to dismantle and neatly separate the parts of plastic model kits (primarily Gunpla / Gundam kits).It is suitable for both beginners and experienced model-makers thanks to its key features:
- Error correction: It allows you to take parts apart if you’ve made a mistake in the assembly order, without having to use force.
- Preparation for painting: Modellers often assemble their kit once using the ‘snap-fit’ method before taking it apart completely to paint each part individually.
- Plastic protection: Unlike a craft knife or screwdriver, which can scratch or warp the plastic, this tool is moulded from resin or plastic. Its bevelled blade is thin enough to slip between two tightly fitted parts and distribute the leverage without leaving any stress marks or discolouration.
- Additional functions: The tool features a small 3 mm cylindrical pin specially designed to grip and push rubber connectors (polycaps) or press connection pins to eject parts from the rear without crushing them.
