Origin and character’s universe

Dandadan is a series combining action, comedy, romance, aliens and the occult. The story follows Momo Ayase, who believes in ghosts but not in aliens, and Ken Takakura, nicknamed Okarun, who believes in aliens but rejects the existence of spirits.

After a confrontation with Turbo Granny, Okarun finds himself struck by a curse that allows him to take on a supernatural form. This transformation alters his appearance, voice and behaviour, whilst granting him extraordinary speed and physical abilities.

Despite the power he has gained, Okarun must learn to control this energy and cope with the effects of the curse. His transformed form quickly becomes one of the most recognisable images in Dandadan, particularly thanks to his mask, white hair and melancholic demeanour.
