Origin and character’s world

Dandadan is a series blending action, comedy, romance, the occult and science fiction. The story follows Momo Ayase and Okarun, two secondary school pupils who find themselves confronted with paranormal phenomena, spirits, aliens and situations that are as spectacular as they are absurd.

Seiko Ayase is Momo’s grandmother and one of the series’ most memorable characters. A powerful medium and a woman of strong character, she plays a vital role in protecting Momo and dealing with supernatural threats. Her laid-back demeanour contrasts with her great spiritual mastery and natural authority.
