Character background and lore

Kanao Tsuyuri is a young demon slayer trained at the Butterfly Manor under the tutelage of Kanae and Shinobu Kocho. Having had a difficult childhood, she long struggled to express her emotions and make her own decisions, even going so far as to use a coin to decide how to act.

Thanks to her encounter with Tanjiro Kamado and the bonds she has formed with those around her, Kanao is gradually learning to listen to her feelings and act according to her own will. An excellent fighter, she has mastered the Flower Breathing technique and possesses exceptional eyesight, which allows her to analyse her opponents’ movements with precision.
