Character background and lore
In the dark world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Doma holds the terrifying position of Second Upper Moon amongst the Twelve Demon Moons, under the direct command of Muzan Kibutsuji. Alongside his status as a demon, he acts as the charismatic leader of the ‘Faith of the Paradise’ cult, a sect through which he manipulates desperate humans, listening to their suffering before devouring them under the guise of offering them eternal salvation and liberation from pain.Completely devoid of empathy and human emotions since birth, Doma feigns constant joy and exaggerated kindness that mask absolute cruelty and nihilism. In battle, he uses the "Breath of Ice" style generated by his two metal fans, allowing him to manipulate a deadly frost capable of instantly freezing the surrounding air and destroying his opponents’ lungs at the slightest inhalation. As the murderer of key characters in the story, his past and his final confrontation make him one of the most feared and psychologically unsettling antagonists in the saga. - *
