Origin and character background

The character Tengen Uzui is from the manga Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba), written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, and later adapted into an animated series. The plot centres on the journey of Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko, the sole survivors of a demon attack, who seek revenge and aim to eliminate the nocturnal threats. In this universe, Tengen Uzui holds the prestigious rank of Sound Hashira within the Demon Slayer Corps. Hailing from a prestigious and strict clan of shinobi (ninjas), his past — or flashback — led him to renounce the individualistic precepts of his family of origin and put his martial skills, his sound-based combat techniques and his explosive double blades at the service of protecting humanity.
