The character of Stitch (originally named Experience 626) comes from the animated film Lilo & Stitch, produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation Studios and released in 2002. Directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, the film combines science fiction and Hawaiian culture. The plot follows an alien creature genetically modified to be indestructible and aggressive, who escapes from his space prison and crash-lands on Earth, in the heart of the Hawaiian archipelago. Taken in by a little orphan girl called Lilo, the alien is adopted like a dog and christened Stitch. As the story unfolds, Stitch discovers the concept of "Ohana", which stipulates that no one should be abandoned or forgotten. His destructive nature gradually gives way to a deep loyalty and genuine love for his new adopted family, making him one of the most endearing and popular characters in the Disney universe.
