Origin and background of the character
Krillin is one of the most endearing, loyal and essential characters in the global phenomenon Dragon Ball, created by the late master Akira Toriyama in 1984. Having begun his training alongside Son Goku under the rigorous tutelage of Master Roshi (Kamesennin), this young bald monk, marked by six incense-burn scars on his forehead, became the hero’s best friend through a series of trials. Although he is a mere human living amongst Saiyan warriors and cosmic deities with disproportionate powers, his unwavering bravery and technical ingenuity—demonstrated by his mastery of the Kamehameha and the creation of the destructive Kienzan (sharp chakra disc)— make him the strongest human warrior on Earth. Banpresto’s “History Box” collection aims to capture the essence of his historic battles by placing the figurine on a base imitating a devastated, rocky landscape, perfectly recreating the neat folds of his iconic orange Turtle School dogi and the sheer determination evident in his gaze.
