Origin and character background
Yamcha is one of the very first characters introduced at the start of the global phenomenon Dragon Ball, created by the late master Akira Toriyama in 1984. Originally a fearsome desert bandit flanked by his faithful flying companion Pual, this skilled and charismatic warrior crosses paths with the young Bulma and Son Goku before joining their cause for good. A martial arts expert of prodigious agility, he developed unique techniques inspired by wildlife, such as the famous "Wolf Technique" (Roga Fufu Ken), before mastering spiritual energy to create the remote-controlled Sokidan technique. Although he suffered tragic setbacks against the Saibaimen during the Saiyan invasion, Yamcha remains an indispensable historical figure among the Z Warriors. Banpresto’s “History Box” collection captures the essence of his journey by placing the figurine on a base resembling a devastated rocky landscape, perfectly recreating the folds of his traditional combat outfit and the determination evident in his gaze.
