Build one of cinema’s most iconic muscle cars with this model of the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Manufactured by Revell under official licence, this kit reproduces the powerful black Charger that first appeared in the very first film. Its massive bodywork, imposing supercharger protruding from the bonnet, raised rear suspension and wide slick tyres give it the aggressive look characteristic of Dom’s car.

The model consists of 117 plastic parts to be assembled on a 1:25 scale. It includes, in particular, a detailed HEMI V8 engine, a fully detailed interior, a precisely reproduced chassis and a sheet of decals to complete the vehicle’s appearance. Once completed, the model measures approximately 21.6 cm long, 8.1 cm wide and 5.7 cm high.

This product is available as a Model Set. Revell Aqua Color base paints, a paintbrush and a tube of Revell Contacta Professional Mini glue are included with the model. The kit therefore provides the main accessories needed to start assembly, although additional paints or tools may be useful to achieve a more detailed finish.

Recommended for ages 13 and over, this kit is primarily aimed at model-makers who already have some experience of gluing and painting. Once assembled, the Charger makes a particularly recognisable display piece for a collection dedicated to American cars or the Fast & Furious franchise.

Origin and background of the vehicle

The 1970 Dodge Charger belongs to Dominic Toretto, a street racer and central figure in the Fast & Furious saga. In the first film, Dom explains that the car was built with his father and that it delivers considerable power thanks to its supercharged engine.

The Charger stands out thanks to its visible supercharger, its imposing rear wheels and its black bodywork. Dominic hesitates for a long time before driving it, as he regards it as much a family heirloom as a machine that is particularly difficult to control.

It features in the final race pitting Dominic against Brian O’Conner, during which both cars cross a level crossing in front of a train travelling at full speed. Despite the damage sustained, the Charger subsequently reappears in various forms across several films and gradually becomes inextricably linked to the character.
